The recently appointed
Minister for sports for the Government of
Sindh, Dr. Syed Muhammad Ali Shah attended a
luncheon hosted in his honor at the Regional
Tax office Karachi on the 27th of June,
2008. Welcoming the chief guest, the
Director General, Mr. Asrar Raouf pointed
out the Dr. Mohammad Ali Shah has had a long
association with the Income Tax Department
in the capacity of a renowned orthopedic
surgeon and had always attended to the needs
of any patient referred to him. The Director
General congratulated the chief guest on his
recent appointment and hoped that this
association will also continue in the
future. Later the chief guest distributed
shields among eight of the recently promoted
officers. The officers who receive
recognition were Mr. Shaista Abbass (BS 20),
Mr. Ghulam Mustafa Rahu (BS 19), Dr. Tauqeer
Irtiza (BS 19), Mr. Hyder Ali Dharejo (BS
19), Syed Aslam Ali (BS 19), Mr. Shahid
Iqbal Baloch (BS 19), Mr. Baddarudin Qureshi
(BS 19) and Mr. Yousuf Haider Shiekh (BS
19). Certificates of merit were also awarded
to Dr. Najeebullah (DCIT) and Mr. Mohammad
Abbass (Protocol Officer RTO, Kchi) for
before time completion of 2.3 MW HT bulk
transmission line project for RTO, Karachi.
Dr. Mohammad Ali Shah in his remarks praised
the remarkable transformation of the
Regional Tax office Karachi in such a short
time and attributed it to the dynamic
leadership of Mr. Asrar Raouf. He compared
the present set-up with world class revenue
offices around the world. The chief guest
also complimented the RTO employees on their
service oriented attitude. A commemorative
shield was presented to Dr. Mohammad Ali
Shah by the DG RTO towards the end of the
program. |
