CBR Yearbook provides detailed information on the federal taxes
collected by the CBR. The fifteenth edition of the CBR Yearbook
comprising of description and statistical parts provides information on
a broad spectrum of areas pertaining to the federal taxes including the
trends in the collection and performance of CBR.
2. I believe that the current issue of CBR Yearbook will be equally
useful for the researchers, business community, policy planners, federal
and provincial government departments, and national and international
institutes. The Year Book has two distinct parts. Part-I focuses on
revenue analysis at the aggregate and regional levels, and Part – II
comprises of detailed statistical information.
3. A number of colleagues have contributed towards publication of the
CBR Yearbook. I am grateful for the step by step guidance and support by
Dr. Ather Maqsood Ahmed, Member FR&S and constant encouragement by Mr.
Najeeb Qadir, the current Director (DR&S). It would not be out of place
to thank Ms. Robina Ather Ahmed, Chief (FR&S) and Mr.Umar Wahid,
Secretary (FR&S) for their comments on an earlier edition.
4. The publication has been possible due to hectic and untiring team
work put in by the officers and staff of the Directorate of Research and
Statistics. These who deserve special appreciation include Mr. Abdur
Rauf, Mr. Muhammad Shabbir, Mr. Habib-ur-Rehman, Mr. Mahmood Hussain,
Mr. Shakeel Ahmed and Mr. Mahmood Ather. While extreme care has been
ensured to make this publication comprehensive and accurate to cater to
the requirements of variety of stakeholders, we promise to do even
better in future. All suggestions/comments for improvement of the next
issues of the CBR Yearbook will be highly appreciated.
