Chairman, Federal Board of Revenue Asim Ahmad met with President, Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mr. Sherbaz Bilour here at FBR Headquarter. President, Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry appreciated FBR’s initiatives for facilitating ease of doing business for the business community particularly with specific reference to an automated environment for issuance of refunds directly into taxpayer’s account. During the meeting, matters pertaining to monitoring of notices sent to industries and restaurants by FBR, speedy disposal and relief from cases pending at the Legal forums were discussed. Fixed evaluation of raw materials, issuance of pending refund cases, review of Alternate Dispute Resolution Committee mechanism (ADRC), integration of various business sectors in Tier 1 and lack of SOPs regarding tax facilitation for women entrepreneurs in Chamber of Commerce and Industry also came into discussion. Chairman FBR was assisted by FBR team comprising Chief (Customs Operations) and Chief (IR Operations). The Chairman FBR appreciated the feedback and issued on spot instructions to both Customs and IR officers to review the standard operating procedures and administratively resolve the issues immediately.
Meeting with President Sarhad Chamber
Chairman FBR, Mr. Asim Ahmad also held a meeting with the President Gujranwala Chamber of Commerce and Industry Umar Ashraf Mughal along with his delegation. The delegation appreciated efforts of Mr. Asim Ahmad to bring about FBR’s transformation into an automated and taxpayer friendly environment. Matters pertaining to revisiting condition of placing commercial invoice and packing list in container, mis-declaration by Steel Importers and introduction of final tax regime for ceramic industry in next budget were discussed in the meeting. Chairman FBR assured the delegation that the issues of the business community would be resolved on priority.

چئیرمین فیڈرل بورڈ آف ریونیو عاصم احمد نے صدر سرحد چیمبر آف کامرس اینڈ انڈسٹری شیر باز بلور سے ملاقات کی۔ صدر سرحد چیمبر آف کامرس اینڈ انڈسٹری نے ایف بی آر کی طرف سے کاروباری آسانی کے لئے اور ریفنڈز کے فوری اجراء پر اٹھائے گئے اقدامات کی تعریف کی۔ ملاقات میں انڈسٹری اور ریسٹورینٹس کو ایف بی آر کی طرف سے جاری کردہ نوٹسز کی مانیٹرنگ اور مختلف لیگل فورمز پر زیر التواء کیسز کے حوالے سے گفتگو ہوئی۔ ملاقات میں خام مال کی فکسڈ قیمت کا تعین ، زیر التواء ریفنڈ کیسز، متبادل تنازعات کے حل کی کمیٹیوں کے طریقہ کار ، بڑے ریٹیلرز کا ایف بی آر کے ساتھ منسلک ہونے کے حوالے سے متعلقہ معاملات زیر بحث رہے۔کاروباری خواتین کی چیمبر آف کامرس اینڈ انڈسٹری میں سہولیات کے حوالے سے عدم دستیابی پر بھی بات چیت ہوئی۔چیف کسٹمز آپریشنز اور چیف آئی آر آپریشنز بھی ملاقات میں موجود تھے۔ چئیرمین ایف بی آر نے اپنی ٹیم کو ہدایات جاری کیں کہ صدر سرحد چیمبر آف کامرس اینڈ انڈسٹری کی طرف سےاٹھائی گئی تجاویز پر فی الفور عمل درآمد کیا جائے۔
چئیرمین ایف بی آر نے صدر گوجرانوالہ چیمبر آف کامرس اینڈ انڈسٹری عمر اشرف مغل اور ان کے وفد سے بھی ملاقات کی۔ صدر گوجرانوالہ چیمبر آف کامرس اینڈ انڈسٹری نے چئیرمین ایف بی آر کی طرف سے ادارے کو جدید اور خودکار نظام کی طرف منتقلی پر کی جانے والی کوششوں کی تعریف کی۔ ملاقات میں کمرشل انوائیس اور پیکنگ لسٹ کنٹینر میں رکھے جانے کے حوالے سے بات چیت ہوئی۔ سٹیل کے درآمدکنندگان کی طرف سے غلط اعدادوشمار دینے، سرامک انڈسٹری کو حتمی ٹیکس رجیم میں لانے کے حوالے سے بھی بات چیت ہوئی۔ چئیرمین ایف بی آر نے تاجروں کے مسائل حل کرنے کی یقین دہانی کرائی۔
