The 5th Board-in-Council meeting of Federal Board of Revenue was held under the chairmanship of Dr. Muhammad Ashfaq Ahmed, Chairman FBR. The Board-in-Council members deliberated upon the decent growth of 38.3 % in revenue collection for the first quarter (July-September) of the current FY 2021-22 and conveyed their appreciation for the field formations. The net revenue collection of Rs. 1,395 Billion, exceeding the set target for the first quarter, has also been appreciated by the Prime Minister.
The Board-in-Council also devised a robust strategy to keep the same momentum of revenue collection in the second quarter starting (October to December) of the current Financial Year. They expressed their strong resolve to collect substantial revenue in the second quarter and thus exceed target set for this period.
The Board-in-Council meeting also appreciated the comprehensive print and electronic media campaign launched by the FATE Wing which helped FBR receive massive number of 1.86 million returns till 30th September, 2021 garnering tax of Rs. 39 Billion with the returns. The members, particularly, mentioned about the impact created by the videos of national heroes and renowned celebrities appealing the general public through social media to file their returns within due date. They thanked all the national heroes for their valued support in making this campaign highly successful. The members also lauded the initiative of FATE Wing to use all cellular companies for SMS outreach to the people to file their tax returns.
Furthermore, the Board-in-Council also decided to speed up the measures required to broaden the tax base, document the economy through POS and fast track implementation of Track and Trace System on Tobacco, Sugar, Fertilizers, Cement, Beverages, Petroleum and Pharmaceutical sectors.
ایف بی آر میں بورڈ ان کونسل میٹنگ –ممبران دوسری سہ مای میں خاطر خواہ ریونیو کے حصول کے لئے پر عزم
چئیرمین ایف بی آر ڈاکٹر محمد اشفاق احمد کی سربراہی میں ایف بی آر میں پ بورڈ ان کونسل کا پانچواں اجلاس منعقد ہوا۔ بورڈ ان کونسل اجلاس میں رواں مالی سال 22-2021کی پہلی سہ ماہی میں محصولات میں 38.3 فیصد نمو حاصل کرنے پر غوروخوض کیا گیا اورممبران بورڈ ان کونسل نے اس زبردست کارکردگی پر فیلڈ دفاتر کو داد دی۔یا د رہے کہ ایف بی آر کی طرف سے 1395 ارب روپے کےریکارڈ ریونیو جمع کرنے پر وزیر اعظم پاکستان نے بھی تعریف کی ہے۔
بورڈ ان کونسل ممبران نے رواں مالی سال کی دوسری سہ ماہی اکتوبر تا دسمبر میں بھی خاطرخواہ ریونیو حاصل کرنے کے لئے مربوط حکمت عملی وضع کی اور اس عزم کا اظہار کیا کہ ہدف سے زائد ریونیو کے حصول کے لئے ہر ممکن کو شش کی جائے گی۔
بورڈ ان کونسل اجلاس میں فیٹ ونگ کی طرف سے جامع پرنٹ اور الیکٹرانک تشہیری مہم کی بھی تعریف کی گئی جس کی وجہ سے 30 ستمبر 2021 تک 18 لاکھ64 ہزارگوشوارے وصول ہوئے اور گوشواروں کے ساتھ 39 ارب روپے کا ٹیکس حاصل ہوا۔ ممبران کونسل نے سوشل میڈیا پر قومی ہیروز اور ممتاز شخصیات کی طرف سے ٹیکس گوشوارے داخل کرنے کے لئے دیئے گئے ویڈیو پیغامات کی بھر پور تعریف کی اور تمام قومی ہیروز کا اس مہم کو کامیاب بنانے اور تعاون کرنے پر شکریہ ادا کیا۔فیٹ ونگ کی طرف سے تمام موبائل کمپنیوں کے صارفین کو ایس ایم ایس بھجے جانے کے اقدام کو بھی سراہا گیا۔
مزید برآں بورڈ ان کونسل کے شرکاء نے اس امر پر زور دیا کہ ٹیکس کا دائرہ کار بڑھانے کے لئے اٹھائے گئے ٹھوس اقدامات میں تیزی لائی جائے ، معیشت کو دستاویزی بنانے کے لئے پوائینٹ آف سیل سسٹم کو موثر انداز میں لاگو کیا جائے اور ٹریک اینڈ ٹریس نظام کے تحت تمباکو، چینی، کھاد، سیمنٹ ، مشروبات ، پیٹرولیم اور فارماسوٹیکل سیکٹر کی ڈیجیٹل مانیٹرنگ کا عمل تیز کیا جائے۔
