In continuation of a drive against un-registered persons involved in making taxable supplies who are liable to be registered under the Sales Tax Act, 1990, the Directorate of Intelligence and Investigation-Inland Revenue, Lahore has carried out action under Section 38 and 40 of the Sales Tax Act, 1990 after obtaining search warrants from the Area magistrate against the manufacturing/business premises of three un-registered units in Gujranwala on 05.11.2019.
The three un-registered units were involved in manufacture and supply of taxable goods i.e. sanitary ware, detergents and household gas appliances. During the search carried out available record was resumed which is under scrutiny and further investigation in this regard is underway. The Directorate General Intelligence and Investigation-Inland Revenue shall continue such operations in order to unearth unregistered units/businesses which are making taxable supplies without payment of due amount of sales tax and causing huge loss to the national exchequer.

فیڈرل بورڈ آف ریوینیو کے ڈائیریکٹوریٹ انٹیلیجنس اور انوسٹیگیشن آئی آر لاہور نے ایریا مجسٹریٹ سے سرچ وارنٹ لینے کے بعد گوجرانوالہ کے تین بڑے کاروباری یونٹس پر سیلز ٹیکس ایکٹ 1990 کے سیکشن 38 اور 40 کے تحت کاروائی عمل میں لائی ہے۔ تینوں کاروباری یونٹس سیلز ٹیکس رجسٹرڈ نہیں ہیں ۔ ان کاروباری یونٹس پر سینٹری کا سامان، ڈیٹرجنٹس اور گیس سے چلنے والی مصنوعات تیار کی جارہی تھیں جن پر سیلز ٹیکس لاگو ہوتا ہے۔
تلاشی کے دوران تمام حاصل ہونے والا ریکارڈ قبضے میں لے لیا گیااور مزید تحقیقات کی جار ہی ہیں۔ ڈائیریکٹر جنرل انٹیلیجنس اور انوسٹی گیشن آئی آر اس طرح کی کاروائیاں جاری رکھے گا تاکہ ان تمام کاروباری یونٹس کی نشاندہی کی جا سکے جو کہ سیلز ٹیکس رجسٹرڈ نہیں ہیں اور ایسی مصنوعات بنا رہے ہیں جن پر ٹیکس لاگو ہوتا ہے لیکن سیلز ٹیکس ادا نہیں کیا جا رہا ۔ جس کی وجہ سے قومی خزانہ کو بہت نقصان پہنچتا ہے۔
