In compliance with Prime Minister’s special instructions and under the leadership of Chairman Federal Board of Revenue, Inland Revenue Enforcement Network (IREN) is actively targeting the illicit sale and transportation of cigarettes throughout the country. A special team of RTO Rawalpindi has seized 150 cartons of counterfeit and illicit cigarettes of various brands. The illegal cigarettes were being transported through a truck. It is estimated that sales tax and FED of Rs. 3375000 was avoided.

وزیر اعظم پاکستان اور چئیرمین ایف بی آر کی خصوصی ہدایات اور احکامات کے مطابق سگریٹ کی غیر قانونی تجارت کی روک تھام کے لئے ان لینڈ ریونیو انفورسمنٹ نیٹ ورک کی ٹیمیں پورے پاکستان میں متحرک ہیں۔اس سلسلے میں آر ٹی او راولپنڈی کی ٹیم نے کاروائی کے دوران مختلف برانڈ کے جعلی اور غیر قانونی سگریٹ کے 150 کارٹن پکڑ لئے ہیں۔ان کارٹنز کو ٹرک کے ذریعے منتقل کیا جا رہا تھا۔ تقریبا" 3375000 روپے کی ایکسائز ڈیوٹی اور سیلز ٹیکس چوری کی نشاندہی ہوئی ہے۔
