In line with the vision of Prime Minister of Pakistan for promoting Taxation culture in the country, a special signing ceremony of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Quaid-e-Azam University Islamabad and Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) was held on Friday at Quaid-e-Azam University, Islamabad.
The Memorandum of Understanding was signed by Vice Chancellor, Quaid-e-Azam University Dr. Muhammad Ali Shah and Chief FATE, FBR Tehmina Aamer.
MoU is aimed to promote tax culture & tax awareness to the students of Quaid-e-Azam University. It shall serve to foster positive taxation culture and awareness among students and teachers through different sets of activities, skills and experiential learning for making them responsible citizens. The training sessions will inculcate among students the significance of paying taxes and how to act the role of identifying tax evasion and reporting to the concerned tax authorities. Federal Board of Revenue will educate and train students and teachers through taxation syllabus, training sessions and seminars. According to signed MoU, Quaid-e-Azam University will provide access to FBR for conduct of training and awareness activities in all the campuses of the university. This MoU will be applicable for three years.
On the occasion, Vice Chancellor, Quaid-e-Azam University Dr. Muhammad Ali Shah thanked FBR for introducing this idea of promoting tax culture among youth of the country. He expressed that the training sessions would enlighten the students about the necessity of tax payment which would make them tax compliant citizens.
FBR has decided to launch countrywide awareness sessions through seminars and training sessions to promote tax culture which will help to increase the number of taxpayers and revenue for the country. The ceremony was also attended by Alam Zaib Khan, Secretary FATE, Rashid Javed Rana, Secretary FATE and Adnan Akram Bajwa, Secretary PR, FBR.

ایف بی آر اور قائد اعظم یونیورسٹی کے درمیان مفاہمت کی یادداشت پر دستخط
وزیر اعظم پاکستان کےملک بھر میں ٹیکس نظام کو ترویج دینے کے ویثرن پر عمل درآمد کرتے ہوئے ایف بی آراور قائد اعظم یونیورسٹی اسلام آبادکے درمیان ٹیکس کلچر کو فروغ دینے کے لئے مفاہمت کی یادداشت پر دستخط ہوئے۔ قائد اعظم یونیو رسٹی کی طر ف سے وائس چانسلر ڈاکٹر محمد علی شاہ اور تہمینہ عامر چیف فیٹ ایف بی آر نے مفاہمت کی یادداشت پر دستخط کئے۔
مفاہمت کی یادداشت کے تحت ایف بی آر قائد اعظم یو نیو رسٹی اسلام آباد میں زیر تعلیم طلبہ و طالبات کے لئے ٹیکس کلچر اور ٹیکس آگاہی کو فروغ دینے کے لئے ٹریننگ سیشنز کا انعقا د کرے گا۔ تربیتی سیشنز کے دوران اساتذہ اور طلبہ کو مختلف سرگرمیوں کے ذریعے ٹیکس کی ملکی ترقی میں اہمیت ، ٹیکس ادا کرنے اور ٹیکس چوری کی نشاندہی جیسے اہم مو ضو عات کو اجاگر کیا جائے گاتاکہ وہ آج کے طالب علم کل کے ذمہ دار شہری ہونے کا کردار ادا کر سکیں۔ ایف بی آر طلبہ و طالبات اور اساتذہ کو ٹیکس سے متعلقہ نصاب ، ٹریننگ سیشنز اور سیمینارز کے ذریعے تربیت فراہم کرے گا۔ مفاہمت کی یادداشت کے مطابق انتظامیہ قائد اعظم یو نیورسٹی طلبہ اور اساتذ ہ کی ٹرینینگ کے لئے ایف بی آر کو یونیورسٹی کے تمام کیمپسز میں رسائی کو یقینی بنائے گا اور ہر ممکن سہولیات فراہم کرے گا۔ یہ مفاہمت کی یادداشت تین سال کے لئے قابل عمل رہے گی۔
اس موقع پر وائس چانسلر قائد اعظم یونیورسٹی محمد علی شاہ نےٹیکس کلچر اور ٹیکس کی اہمیت جیسے اہم موضوع کے بارے میں طلبہ و طالبات کو آگاہی دینے کے اقدام پر ایف بی آر کا شکریہ ادا کیا۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ ان تربیتی سیشنز کی بدولت طلبہ و طالبات کو مستقبل میں ٹیکس قوانین کی تعمیل کرنے اور ایک ذمہ دار ٹیکس گزار ہونے میں مدد ملے گی۔
ایف بی آر ٹیکس کلچر کے فروغ کے لئے عملی اقدامات اٹھا رہا ہے اور ملک بھر میں ٹیکس سے متعلق آگاہی سیشنز اور سیمینار کرانے کو عملی جامہ پہنا رہا ہے تاکہ عوام کو ٹیکس کے بارے میں مزید آگاہی اور شعور دیا جا سکے۔ ان اقدامات کی بدولت ٹیکس گزاروں کی تعداد بڑھانے اور ریوینیو میں اضافہ ممکن ہو گا۔ تقریب میں ایف بی آر کے افسران عالم زیب خان، سیکریٹری فیٹ، راشد جاوید رانا، سیکریٹری فیٹ اور عدنان اکرم باجوہ سیکریٹری پی آر نے بھی شرکت کی۔
