A joint delegation of Pakistan Business Council (PBC) and Overseas Investors Chamber of Commerce & Industry (OICCI) called on the Federal Finance Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar today at FBR Headquarters in Islamabad.
The OICCI delegation comprised its President Mr. Amir Paracha and other members whereas PBC delegation comprised its Chairman Mr. Muhammad Aurangzeb and other members of the Council.
The Finance Minister was accompanied by Dr. Aisha Ghaus Pasha, Minister of State for Finance, Mr. Tariq Bajwa, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Finance, Mr. Tariq Mehmood Pasha, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Revenue, Mr. Ashfaq Tola Chairman Reforms and Resource Mobilization Commission (RRMC), Mr. Asim Ahmad Chairman Federal Board of Revenue and other senior officers from the Finance Ministry and Revenue Division. Governor State Bank Mr. Jameel Ahmad also attended the meeting.
The joint delegation highlighted the importance of investment in the country's economy and called for promoting investment culture in Pakistan backed by investment friendly policies. They said that the business community has always worked for the interest of Pakistan and has brought investment from overseas to the country. The joint delegation also gave proposals for incorporation in the upcoming budget and suggested different measures which can help improve the investors’ confidence.
The Finance Minister assured the joint delegation that the Government will support businesses and provide congenial environment for investment. He said that the Government values the contributions of business community and investors towards the economy of Pakistan. He assured that their valuable suggestions will be incorporated in the upcoming budget.

وزیر خزانہ محمد اسحاق ڈار سے ہفتہ کو پاکستان بزنس کونسل اور اوور سیز انویسٹرز چیمبر آف کامرس اینڈ انڈسٹری کے مشترکہ وفد نے ایف بی آر ہیڈ کوارٹرز اسلام آباد میں ملاقات کی۔ او آئی سی سی آئی کا وفد اس کے صدر عامر پراچہ اور دیگر اراکین پر مشتمل تھا جبکہ پی بی سی کا وفد اس کے چیئرمین محمد اورنگزیب اور کونسل کے دیگر اراکین پر مشتمل تھا۔
ملاقات کے دوران وزیر خزانہ کے ہمراہ وزیر مملکت برائے خزانہ ڈاکٹر عائشہ غوث پاشا، وزیر اعظم کے معاون خصوصی برائے خزانہ طارق باجوہ، معاون خصوصی برائے ریونیو طارق محمود پاشا ،ریفارمز اینڈ ریسورس موبلائزیشن کمیشن کے چیئرمین اشفاق تولہ، چیئرمین ایف بی آر عاصم احمد، اور وزارت خزانہ اور ریونیو ڈویژن کے اعلیٰ حکام بھی موجود تھے۔ سٹیٹ بینک آف پاکستان کے گورنر جمیل احمد بھی اس ملاقات میں شریک تھے۔
مشترکہ وفد نے ملک کی معیشت میں سرمایہ کاری کی اہمیت پر روشنی ڈالی اور کہا کہ پاکستان میں سرمایہ کاری کا کلچر پروان چڑھانے کے لئے انوسٹمنٹ فرینڈلی پالیسیاں متعارف کرائی جائیں۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ بزنس کمیونٹی ہمیشہ پاکستان کے مفاد کے لئے کام کرتی ہے اور باہر سے سرمایہ کاری ملک میں لاتی ہے۔ مشترکہ وفد نے آئندہ بجٹ میں شامل کرنے کے لئے اپنی تجاویز بھی پیش کیں۔ انہوں نے سرمایہ کاروں کا اعتماد بہتر بنانے میں مدد دینے کے لئے مختلف اقدامات بھی تجویز کئے۔
وزیر خزانہ نے مشترکہ وفد کو یقین دلایا کہ حکومت بزنسز کی فروغ میں مدد کرے گی اور سرمایہ کاری کے لئے سازگار ماحول فراہم کرے گی۔انہوں نے کہا کہ حکومت بزنس کمیونٹی اور سرمایہ کاروں کی پاکستان کی معیشت کے لئے خدمات کو اہمیت دیتی ہے۔انہوں نے یقین دہانی کرائی کہ ان کی قیمتی تجاویز کو آئندہ بجٹ میں شامل کیا جائے گا۔
