Karachi, 14 October 2026: Chairman FBR on Wednesday issued on-the-spot directions to Chief Commissioners and Chief Collectors to hold regular one-on-one meetings with relevant industry representatives and resolve all outstanding issues.
The directions came during meetings with delegations of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FPCCI), the Pakistan Petroleum Dealers Association and the Karachi Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KCCI).
In compliance with the Prime Minister's directives, the top leadership of FBR is visiting Karachi for the whole week to address the issues of trade and business.
During the meetings, the Chairman reviewed progress on decisions taken during previous visits to Karachi. He directed that completion of tasks under-implementation be expedited.
The trade bodies highlighted further issues for resolution. They appreciated the dynamic leadership of FBR and expressed satisfaction with the progress made so far.
During the meeting Chairman informed the participants about the modernization reforms being undertaken at FBR and their wider impact on the improvement of service delivery.
The Chairman stressed the role of the business community in reshaping the working of FBR through a feedback mechanism.

چیئرمین فیڈرل بورڈ آف ریونیو نے بدھ کے روز فیْدریشن آف پاکستان چیمبر آف کامرس اینڈ انڈسٹری ، پاکستان پٹرولیم ڈیلرز ایسو سی ایشن اور کراچی چیمبر آف کامرس اینڈ انڈسٹری کے وفود کے ساتھ ملاقاتیں کیں اور ان ملاقاتوں کے دوران چیف کمشنرز اور چیف کلکٹرز کو موقع پر ہی ہدایات جاری کیں کہ وہ متعلقہ صنعتوں کے نمائندوں کے ساتھ باقاعدگی سے ون آن ون اجلاس منعقد کیا کریں اور تمام زیر التوا مسائل حل کریں۔
وزیراعظم پاکستان کی ہدایات پر عمل درآمد کرتے ہوئے ایف بی آر کی اعلیٰ قیادت پورا ہفتہ کراچی میں موجود رہے گی تا کہ وہاں کی صنعتی و کاروباری برادری کے مسائل کے حل کے لئے اقدامات کئے جا سکیں۔اجلاس کے دوران چیئرمین نے کراچی کے گذشتہ دورہ کے دوران کیے گئے فیصلوں پر پیش رفت کا جائزہ لیا۔ انہوں نے ہدایت کی کہ جن کاموں پر عمل درآمد جاری ہے، انہیں جلد از جلد مکمل کیا جائے۔
تجارتی تنظیموں نے مزید حل طلب مسائل کی نشاندہی کی۔ انہوں نے ایف بی آر کی متحرک قیادت کو سراہا اور اب تک ہونے والی پیش رفت پر اطمینان کا اظہار کیا۔ چیئرمین ایف بی آر نے اجلاس کے شرکاء کو ایف بی آر میں جاری اصلاحات اور ان کے مثبت اثرات کے بارے میں بھی آگاہ کیا۔
اس موقعہ پر چیئرمین نے کہا کہ کاروباری برادری کی رائے ایف بی آر کی ورکنگ کی تشکیل نو میں مؤثر کردار ادا کر سکتی ہے ۔
