LAHORE, September 22, 2026: In pursuance of the directives of the Hon’ble Prime Minister, Chairman Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), Mr. Rashid Mahmood Langrial, has initiated regular engagement with stakeholders. In this regard, he visited the Large Taxpayers Office (LTO) Lahore and held a meeting with a delegation of the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), led by its President Mr. Faheem ur Rehman Saigol, to discuss taxation, trade, industry and business facilitation matters.
The meeting was attended by Member (Inland Revenue Operations), Member (Customs Operations), Chief Commissioners, senior officers of FBR, and representatives of LCCI.
Welcoming the delegation, Chairman FBR emphasized the importance of regular engagement with the business community and announced that such meetings would be held every month. He invited the business community to bring forward its issues, assuring that their concerns would be addressed in real time, wherever possible.
LCCI President Mr. Faheem ur Rehman Saigol appreciated the initiative and acknowledged FBR’s efforts regarding real estate, Super Tax and advance tax on exports. The delegation also presented various concerns relating to administration and operations.
The meeting included detailed discussions on digital invoicing, responsiveness of tax authorities, industrial concerns, duties on paper, electronic items and spare parts, as well as the need to prevent misuse of tariff provisions.
Chairman FBR appreciated the concerns and suggestions of the business community and stated that FBR was continuously working to resolve genuine issues faced by taxpayers. He emphasized the need to broaden the tax base and bring all eligible sectors into the tax net, noting that meaningful progress could not be achieved without the cooperation of the business community.
The Chairman directed the concerned officers to address issues relating to income tax refunds on a priority basis and ensure timely resolution of genuine taxpayer concerns in accordance with law and applicable procedures. He stated that the resolution of administrative and operational issues is top priority of the board.
Chairman FBR also encouraged the Chamber to support the objectives of the national tariff policy and contribute towards a fair and transparent trade and taxation environment.
The LCCI delegation appreciated the Chairman’s initiative for regular engagement and expressed its commitment to continued cooperation with FBR for resolution of business-related issues and improvement of the overall tax and business environment.

لاہور، 22 ستمبر 2026: معزز وزیرِ اعظم شہباز شریف کی ہدایات کی روشنی میں چیئرمین فیڈرل بورڈ آف ریونیو (ایف بی آر) راشد محمود لنگڑیال نے اسٹیک ہولڈرز کے ساتھ باقاعدہ روابط کا آغاز کیا ہے۔ اسی سلسلے میں انہوں نے لارج ٹیکس پیئرز آفس (LTO) لاہور کا دورہ کیا اور لاہور چیمبر آف کامرس اینڈ انڈسٹری (LCCI) کے صدر مسٹر فہیم الرحمٰن سیگل کی قیادت میں وفد سے ملاقات کی، جس میں ٹیکس، تجارت، صنعت اور کاروباری سہولت کاری سے متعلق امور پر تبادلہ خیال کیا گیا۔
اجلاس میں ممبر (ان لینڈ ریونیو آپریشنز)، ممبر (کسٹمز آپریشنز)، چیف کمشنرز، ایف بی آر کے سینئر افسران اور لاہور چیمبر آف کامرس اینڈ انڈسٹری کے نمائندگان نے شرکت کی۔
وفد کا خیرمقدم کرتے ہوئے چیئرمین ایف بی آر نے کاروباری برادری کے ساتھ باقاعدہ روابط کی اہمیت پر زور دیا اور اعلان کیا کہ اس نوعیت کے اجلاس ہر ماہ منعقد کیے جائیں گے۔ انہوں نے کاروباری برادری کو اپنے مسائل پیش کرنے کی دعوت دیتے ہوئے یقین دلایا کہ جہاں تک ممکن ہو، ان کے تحفظات کا بروقت اور موقع پر ازالہ کیا جائے گا۔
لاہور چیمبر کے صدر مسٹر فہیم الرحمٰن سیگل نے اس اقدام کو سراہا اور رئیل اسٹیٹ، سپر ٹیکس اور برآمدات پر ایڈوانس ٹیکس سے متعلق ایف بی آر کی کوششوں کو سراہا۔ وفد نے انتظامی اور آپریشنل امور سے متعلق مختلف تحفظات بھی پیش کیے۔
اجلاس کے دوران ڈیجیٹل انوائسنگ، ٹیکس حکام کی جانب سے بروقت ردِعمل، صنعتی شعبے کے مسائل، کاغذ، الیکٹرانک اشیاء اور اسپیئر پارٹس پر ڈیوٹیز، نیز ٹیرف کی دفعات کے غلط استعمال کی روک تھام کی ضرورت پر تفصیلی تبادلہ خیال کیا گیا۔
چیئرمین ایف بی آر نے کاروباری برادری کے تحفظات اور تجاویز کو سراہتے ہوئے کہا کہ ایف بی آر ٹیکس دہندگان کو درپیش جائز مسائل کے حل کے لیے مسلسل اقدامات کر رہا ہے۔ انہوں نے ٹیکس بیس کو وسیع کرنے اور تمام اہل شعبوں کو ٹیکس نیٹ میں شامل کرنے کی ضرورت پر زور دیا اور کہا کہ کاروباری برادری کے تعاون کے بغیر بامعنی پیش رفت ممکن نہیں۔
چیئرمین نے متعلقہ افسران کو ہدایت کی کہ انکم ٹیکس ریفنڈز سے متعلق امور کو ترجیحی بنیادوں پر حل کیا جائے اور ٹیکس دہندگان کے حقیقی مسائل کا قانون اور مروجہ طریقہ کار کے مطابق بروقت ازالہ یقینی بنایا جائے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ انتظامی اور آپریشنل امور کا حل بورڈ کی اولین ترجیحات میں شامل ہے۔
چیئرمین ایف بی آر نے چیمبر پر زور دیا کہ وہ قومی ٹیرف پالیسی کے مقاصد کے حصول میں تعاون کرے اور منصفانہ اور شفاف تجارتی و ٹیکس ماحول کے فروغ میں اپنا کردار ادا کرے۔
لاہور چیمبر کے وفد نے کاروباری برادری کے ساتھ باقاعدہ روابط کے لیے چیئرمین ایف بی آر کے اقدام کو سراہا اور کاروبار سے متعلق مسائل کے حل اور مجموعی ٹیکس و کاروباری ماحول میں بہتری کے لیے ایف بی آر کے ساتھ مسلسل تعاون کے عزم کا اظہار کیا۔
