Islamabad, 28 Feb. 26: An 18-member delegation of the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI), led by its President, Sardar Tahir Mahmood, called on Chairman Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), Mr. Rashid Mahmood Langrial, at the FBR Headquarters in Islamabad to discuss key taxation issues faced by the business community.
During the meeting, the ICCI delegation apprised the Chairman FBR of various challenges confronting businesses in the capital, including issues related to super tax, tax refunds, point-of-sale (POS) integration for small businesses, taxation of the real estate and property sector and other operational hardships.
Chairman FBR listened attentively to the concerns raised and assured the delegation that maximum facilitation would be extended to the business community. He emphasized that genuine hardship cases would be given special consideration, while reiterating that the collection of taxes payable under the law would be ensured and tax evasion would not be tolerated under any circumstances.
Member (Legal IR), Member (IR Operations) and Member (Customs Operations) of the FBR were also present during the meeting. They responded to the queries raised by the ICCI representatives and provided clarifications on relevant matters.
While appreciating the vital role of the business community in the country’s economic growth and prosperity, Chairman FBR stated that establishing a business-friendly environment remains one of the top priorities of the FBR. He directed the concerned wings to examine the issues highlighted by the Islamabad business community and resolve their genuine concerns at the earliest.

اسلام آباد چیمبر آف کامرس اینڈ انڈسٹری کے 18 رکنی وفد نےایف بی آر ہیڈکوارٹرز اسلام آباد میں چیئرمین فیڈرل بورڈ آف ریونیو راشد محمود لنگڑیال سے ملاقات کی۔ وفد کی قیادت اسلام آباد چیمبر آف کامرس اینڈ انڈسٹری کے صدر سردار طاہر محمود کر رہے تھے ملاقات میں کاروباری برادری کو ٹیکس کے حوالے سے درپیش اہم مسائل پر تبادلہ خیال کیا گیا۔
ملاقات کے دوران آئی سی سی آئی کے وفد نے چیئرمین ایف بی آر کو وفاقی دارالحکومت میں کاروبار کو درپیش مختلف چیلنجز سے آگاہ کیا جن میں سپر ٹیکس، ٹیکس ریفنڈز، چھوٹے کاروباروں کے لیے پوائنٹ آف سیل (Point Of Sale ) انضمام، رئیل اسٹیٹ اور پراپرٹی سیکٹر پر ٹیکس عائد کرنے سے متعلق امور اور دیگر عملی مشکلات شامل تھیں۔
چیئرمین ایف بی آر نے وفد کی جانب سے اٹھائے گئے نکات کو بغور سنا اور یقین دہانی کرائی کہ کاروباری برادری کو زیادہ سے زیادہ سہولت فراہم کی جائے گی۔ انہوں نے زور دیا کہ حقیقی مشکلات کے حامل کیسز کو خصوصی طور پر دیکھا جائے گا تاہم قانون کے مطابق واجب الادا ٹیکس کی وصولی کو یقینی بنایا جائے گا اور کسی بھی صورت میں ٹیکس چوری برداشت نہیں کی جائے گی۔
اجلاس میں ممبر (لیگل آئی آر)، ممبر (آئی آر آپریشنز) اور ممبر (کسٹمز آپریشنز) بھی موجود تھے۔ انہوں نے آئی سی سی آئی کے نمائندوں کی طرف سے اُٹھائے گئے سوالات کے جوابات دیے اور متعلقہ امور پر وضاحت فراہم کی۔
چیئرمین ایف بی آر نے ملک کی معاشی ترقی اور خوشحالی میں کاروباری برادری کے اہم کردار کو سراہتے ہوئے کہا کہ کاروبار دوست ماحول کا قیام ایف بی آر کی اولین ترجیحات میں شامل ہے۔ انہوں نے متعلقہ شعبوں کو ہدایت کی کہ اسلام آباد کی کاروباری برادری کی جانب سے جن مسائل کی نشاندہی کی گئی ہے اُن کا جائزہ لیا جائے اور اُن کے حقیقی مسائل کو جلد از جلد حل کیا جائے۔
