Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has strongly rebutted disinformation being spread on the social media against the proposed Service Charge of Rs.1 to be collected on all invoices issued by Tier-1 Retailers integrated with FBR’s electronic system of real-time reporting of sales. It is being insinuated as if the rate of the Service Charge is 1 percent instead of Rupee 1 per invoice only. This baseless propaganda by some vested interests is thoroughly malicious in intent and definitely suspicious in content. The nominal Service Charge @ Re.1 per invoice of whatever denomination, would be collected under Section 76 of the Sales Tax Act, 1990. This petty amount will be utilized to ensure integration of all Tier-1 Retailers, promote ongoing publicity campaign, and finance a prize scheme for all customers who duly verify their invoices to determine the validity and genuineness of the invoices issued by the integrated Tier-1 Retailers, FBR further clarified.
It is pertinent to mention that FBR has already launched an aggressive awareness campaign on all the mainstream Social, Electronic & Print Media to educate general public on a prize scheme ballot worth Rs.53 Million to be held every month in FBR Headquarters, Islamabad. This first computer ballot on POS Prize Scheme will be held on January 15, 2022, announcing 1007 lucky winners.
Hence, the above unfounded campaign appears to have been initiated by those vested interests who tend to oppose POS integration. They continue to collect Sales Tax from the general public but are always reluctant to deposit the same in the Government Treasury. FBR has reaffirmed its unflinching resolve to continue integrating Tier-1 Retailers across the country with full vigor and an indomitable spirit.

ایف بی آر سے منسلک شدہ بڑے ریٹیلرز کی طرف سے جاری کردہ رسید پر مجوزہ 1 روپیہ فی انوائس سروس چارج سے متعلق سوشل میڈیا پر غلط معلومات پھیلانے پر فیڈرل بورڈ آف ریونیو نے پرزور وضاحت جاری کی ہے۔ ایف بی آر نے کہا ہے کہ سوشل میڈیا پر یہ تاثر دیا جارہا ہے کہ سروس چارج 1 روپیہ فی انوائس نہیں لیا جائے گا بلکہ رسیدی رقم کے 1 فیصد کے حساب سے وصول کیا جائے گا جو کہ سراسر غلط ہے۔ یہ بے بنیاد پراپیگینڈا مخصوص عناصر کی طرف سے پھیلایاجا رہا ہے جو کہ بدنیتی پر مبنی ہے۔ ایف بی آر نے کہا ہے کہ 1روپیہ سروس چارج فی رسید سیلز ٹیکس ایکٹ 1990 کی شق 76 کے تحت وصول کیا جا ئے گا۔ انوائس پر چا ہے جتنی بھی کل رقم درج ہو، سروس چارج 1 روپیہ ہی وصول کیا جائے گا۔سروس چارج کے تحت اکھٹی ہونے والی رقم بڑے ریٹیلرز کو ایف بی آر سے منسلک کرنے ، میڈیا کیمپین چلانے اور کسٹمرز کے لئے متعارف کردہ پرائز سکیم پر خرچ ہو گی جو کہ اس سکیم میں شامل ہونے کے لئے بڑے ریٹیلرز کی طرف سے جاری کی گئی اصل رسید کی تصدیق کریں گے۔
یہاں یہ بات قابل ذکر ہے کہ ایف بی آر نے اس حوالے سے بہت ہی موثر اشتہاری مہم کا آغاز کر دیا ہے جو کہ سوشل میڈیا، اخبارات، نیوز چینلز اور ریڈیو پر جاری ہے۔ اس اشتہاری مہم کے ذریعے عوام الناس کو پرائز سکیم اور ایف بی آر ہیڈکوارٹرز میں ماہانہ بنیادوں پر 5 کروڑ 30 لاکھ کے انعامات کے لئے قرعہ اندازی کے انعقاد کے بارے میں آگاہ کیا جارہا ہے ۔ اس سلسلے میں پہلی کمپیوٹرائزڈ قرعہ اندازی 15 جنوری 2022 کو ہو گی جس میں 1007 قرعہ اندازی جیتنے والوں کا اعلان کیا جائے گا۔
ایف بی آر نے کہا ہے کہ سوشل میڈیا پر اس حوالے سے گمراہ کن معلومات ان عناصر کی طرف سے پھیلائی جار ہی ہے جو پی اوایس انٹیگریشن کے خلاف ہیں اور جنرل پبلک سے سیلز ٹیکس تو وصو ل کر لیتے ہیں لیکن حکومتی خزانے میں ٹیکس جمع نہیں کراتے۔ ایف بی آر ملک بھر میں بڑے ریٹیلرز کو سسٹم کے ساتھ منسلک کرنے کے اقدام کو جاری رکھنے میں پر عزم ہے۔
