A joint delegation of Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) and Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FCCI) called on the Federal Finance Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar today at FBR Headquarters in Islamabad.
The delegation comprised Mr. Kashif Anwar President LCCI, Dr. Khurram Tariq President FCCI and other senior members of the Chambers.
The Finance Minister was accompanied by Mr. Tariq Bajwa Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Finance, Mr. Tariq Mehmood Pasha Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Revenue, Mr. Ashfaq Tola Chairman Reforms and Resource Mobilization Commission (RRMC), Mr. Asim Ahmad Chairman Federal Board of Revenue and other senior officers from the Finance Ministry and Revenue Division.
During the meeting, the overall economic situation of the country came under discussion. The Minister said that the Governmemt is taking all possible measures to turnaround the economy and put the country on the path to progress and prosperity. He stated that reforms were being taken in many areas of economy to achieve productive and fruitful results and expressed optimism that economic situation will improve in future.
The joint delegation assured the Minister that business community will support the Government in its efforts to revive the economy as well as achieve exports and revenue targets for the next financial year. They also submitted their proposals for consideration in the upcoming Federal Budget.
The Minister welcomed the proposals and assured of all possible cooperation and support to the business community. He also lauded their contributions for the betterment of the economy.

وزیر خزانہ محمد اسحاق ڈار سے منگل کولاہور چیمبر آف کامرس اینڈ انڈسٹری اور فیصل آباد چیمبر آف کامرس اینڈ انڈسٹری کے ایک مشترکہ وفد نے ایف بی آر ہیڈکوارٹرز اسلام آباد میں ملاقات کی۔ وفد میں لاہور چیمبر آف کامرس اینڈ انڈسٹری کے صدر کاشف انور، فیصل آباد چیمبر آف کامرس اینڈ انڈسٹری کے صدر ڈاکٹر خرم طارق اوردونوں چیمبرز کے سینئر اراکین شامل تھے۔
وزیر خزانہ کے ہمراہ وزیراعظم کے معاون خصوصی برائے خزانہ طارق باجوہ، وزیر اعظم کے معاون خصوصی برائے ریونیو طارق محمود پاشا، ریفامز اینڈ ریسورس موبلائزیشن کمیشن کے چیئرمین اشفاق تولہ، چیئرمین ایف بی آر عاصم احمد اور وزارت خزانہ اور ریونیو ڈویژن کے اعلیٰ حکام بھی موجود تھے۔
ملاقات کے دوران ملک کی مجموعی اقتصادی صورت حال پر تبادلہ خیال کیا گیا۔ وزیر خزانہ نے وفد کو بتایا کہ حکومت معیشت کی بحالی اور ملک کو ترقی کی راہ پر گامزن کرنے کے لئے ہر ممکن کوشش کررہی ہے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ معیشت کے کئی شعبوں میں اصلاحات متعارف کرائی گئی ہیں جن کے مستقبل میں مثبت اثرات ہوں گے۔ انہوں نے اُمید ظاہر کی کہ مستقبل میں معاشی صورت حال بہترہو گی۔
مشترکہ وفد نے وزیر خزانہ کو یقین دلایا کہ تاجر برادری آئندہ مالی سال کے لئے برآمدات بڑھانے اور ریونیو کے اہداف حاصل کرنے کی حکومتی کوششوں میں بھرپور تعاون کرے گی۔ انہوں نے آئندہ وفاقی بجٹ میں شامل کرنے کے لئے اپنی تجاویز پیش کیں۔
وزیرخزانہ نے تجاویز کا خیرمقدم کیا اور حکومت کی طرف سے تاجر برادری کو ہر ممکن تعاون کا یقین دلایا۔ اُنہوں نے تاجر برادری کی طرف سے ملک کی معاشی ترقی کے لئے کی جانے والی کوششوں کو بھی سراہا۔
