BUDGET 2017-18 AT A GLANCE
Like previous years, Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) undertook an extensive Pre-Budget exercise starting in the month of March 2017 and involving various activities and functions leading up to the preparation and presentation of the Federal Budget 2017-18 on 26th May 2017.
A core team of senior officers as well as the staff led by Chief Coordinator Budget/Member Administration FBR, Mr. Majid Qureshi and working directly under the supervision of Chairman FBR Dr Mohammad Irshad, held a series of pre-budget meetings to finalize and implement a broad range of tasks and activities, including consultation with stakeholders for the preparation of budget proposals, to prepare and finalize Part-II of the Federal Budget Speech that deals with tax proposals and revenue measures for driving the socio-economic agenda of the government.
