“Karachi, February 13, 2013: The Director General I&I-IR, Ms.Shaista Abbas along with all officers of the Karachi Directorate visited the home of Muhammad Asim Siddiqui, the official who was injured in armed conflict during a seizure operation of non-duty paid cigarettes on February 11. She presented flower bouquets on behalf of the Chairman, FBR and the Department and conveyed well wishes for his speedy recovery. She also granted appreciation letters to all the officials who took part in the first ever such operation conducted in the troubled areas of Karachi and commended them on their dedication and bravery. The officers present at the occasion also expressed their dedication to the mission undertaken by the I&I-IR under the inspiring leadership of the Director General and resolved to continue their strife in future with the same zeal and devotion.”
