MEETING WITH REPRESENTATIVES OF ALL SUKKUR SMALL TRADERS AND COTTAGE INDUSTRIES ON FINANCE ACT 2013
A meeting with representatives of All Sukkur Small Traders and Cottage Industries Sukkur on Finance Act 2013 was held on 27/08/2013. The agenda of meeting was to give know-how to the representatives of various traders regarding new provisions introduced through Finance Act 2013. The session started with the recitation from Holy Quran. Thereafter, Dr. Amir Talpur, Chief Commissioner Inland Revenue RTO Sukkur welcomed all the participants and showed his great satisfaction on active participation and interest of various representatives of Small traders and cottage industries in tax matters.
2. A detailed presentation on power point was given by Mr.Muhammad Akbar Mahar Additional Commissioner IR on Finance Act 2013. The relevant provisions were explained to the participants in easy language.
3. After the presentation Question Answer session started. Questions and queries of the participants were responded by the Chief Commissioner IR. Haji Haroon Memon and Haji Sabir on behalf of small traders thanked the Chief Commissioner for giving them knowledge of new provisions introduced through Finance Act 2013. They also gave suggestions regarding monitoring of withholding taxes and also shown some reservations about selection of cases in audit u/s 177. The Chief Commissioner IR gave them assurance to solve their problems relating to RTO and their suggestions on policy issues (if any) would be examined for future.
4. The meeting ended with a Vote of thanks from and to the Chief Commissioner.
