RTO Bahawalpur - successful arrangement of mega event for Voluntary Tax Compliance Scheme (VTCS) organized by RTO, Bahawalpur.


For creating awareness and understanding of Voluntary Tax Compliance Scheme (VTCS) among the traders and business community, a mega seminar was organized by the Regional Tax Office, Bahawalpur in the Grand Regency Hotel, Bahawalpur on 23-02-2016.

Chief Commissioner Inland Revenue, RTO, Bahawalpur Mr. Ghazanfar Hussain alongwith the Commissioner Inland Revenue, Zone-I, Bahawalpur Mr. Rajabuddin, Additional Commissioner IR Mr. Ghulam Sarwar Shah, Additional Commissioner IR Mr. Abdul Sattar, Deputy Commissioner IR Mr. Muhammad Akhtar Suraj and other officers participated in the seminar.
The Patren-in-Chief of all Pakistan Anjuman-e-Tajran, Pakistan, Khawaja Muhammad Shafique President Muttahida Anjuman-e-Tajran District Bahawalpur, Mr. Tariq Abbasi, President Anjuman-e-Tajran, Bahawalpur City, Hafiz Muhammad Younis, President of District Bahawalnagar and presidents of all Tehsils of Bahawalpur and Bahawalnagar alongwith a large number of traders attended the seminar.
Mr. Ghulam Sarwar Shah, Additional Cmmissioner IR (Focal Person VTCS), RTO, Bahawalpur elaborated the salient features and benefits of the scheme to the traders.
The Chief Commissioner IR, RTO, Bahawalpur Mr. Ghazanfar Hussain, in its address, explained that this scheme is not for the collection of tax only but it is to resolve the problems of the new businessmen and to boost the economy of Pakistan. Khawaja Muhammad Shafique, Patren-in-Chief of all Pakistan Anjuman-e-Tajran, Pakistan Muttahida Anjuman-e-Tajran District Bahawalpur in its address asked the traders to get maximum benefit of this scheme as it has been got approved from the government after a lengthly process of almost six months dialogues and discussions. He further stated that it is last occasion for the traders to get themselves registered with the tax department and participate in the development of the country.
Question/Queries raised by the participants on different aspects of the Scheme were answered in detailed. At the end, all the participants showed their satisfaction with the Scheme.
