The Breast Cancer Awareness Session held on March 28, 2019 at Federal Board of Revenue Auditorium aimed to educate women about the importance of early detection of breast cancer and its possible treatments. The session was attended by female officers and officials of FBR, who greatly benefited from the session.
The session was conducted by Pink Ribbon, a volunteer-driven organization working in Pakistan for creating awareness about breast cancer. CEO Pink Ribbon, Mr. Umar Aftab, began the session by giving overview of breast cancer followed by the screening methods such as self-examination, clinical breast examination and mammogram, and diagnostic procedures of breast cancer.
Madam Nausheen Amjad, Member Taxpayers’ Audit Wing, FBR, thanked Mr. Umar Aftab’s efforts for creating awareness about breast cancer through Pink Ribbon. She emphasized for women to play a productive role in our society as personal health is of utmost importance.
