A delegation of Islamabad Industrial Association (IIA) called on the Federal Finance Minister Mr. Mohammad Ishaq Dar today at FBR Headquarters in Islamabad.
The delegation comprised Mr. Karim Aziz Malik, Senior Vice President (IIA), Mr. Usman Shaukat, Vice President (IIA) and, among others, Sheikh Amir Waheed.
The Finance Minister was accompanied by Mr. Tariq Bajwa, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Finance, Mr. Tariq Mehmood Pasha, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Revenue, Mr. Ashfaq Tola Chairman Reforms and Resource Mobilization Commission (RRMC), Mr. Asim Ahmad Chairman Federal Board of Revenue, and other senior officers from the Finance Ministry and Revenue Division.
During the meeting, members of the Islamabad Industrial Association highlighted the difficulties of businesses in the federal capital territory. They said that despite being a small city Islamabad is contributing to the national economy and is fast turning into the information technology hub of the country. They said that with proper support from the Government the industry in Islamabad can grow and help create opportunities for employment.
The Finance Minister assured the delegation that the Government values contribution of the business sector in the national economy. He stated that in the upcoming budget, measures will be taken to promote the both LSM and SME sectors. He further emphasized that proposals from the business community are always given due consideration during formulation of Federal budget and all efforts are being made to present a business friendly budget.

وزیر خزانہ محمد اسحاق ڈار سے جمعرات کواسلام آباد انڈسٹریل ایسو سی ایشن کے وفد نے ایف بی آر ہیڈ کوارٹرز اسلام آباد میں ملاقات کی۔ وفد میں آئی آئی اے کے سینئر نائب صدر کریم عزیز ملک،نائب صدر عثمان شوکت، شیخ عامر وحیداور دیگر اراکین شامل تھے۔
ملاقات کے دوران وزیر خزانہ کے ہمراہ وزیر اعظم کے معاون خصوصی برائے ریونیوطارق محمود پاشا، معاون خصوصی برائے خزانہ طارق باجوہ ،ریفارمز اینڈ ریسورس موبلائزیشن کمیشن کے چیئرمین اشفاق تولہ،چیئرمین ایف بی آر عاصم احمداور وزارت خزانہ اور ریونیو ڈویژن کے اعلیٰ حکام بھی موجود تھے۔
اسلام آباد انڈسٹریل ایسو سی ایشن کے اراکین نے ملاقات میں وفاقی دارالحکومت میں بزنسز کو درپیش مشکلات پر روشنی ڈالی۔ انہوں نے بتایا کہ ایک چھوٹا شہر ہونے کے باوجود اسلام آبادملک کی معیشت میں اپنا فعال کردار ادا کررہا ہے اور یہ تیزی سے ملک میں انفارمیشن ٹیکنالوجی کا مرکز بنتاجا رہا ہے۔
انہوں نے کہا کہ اسلام آباد کی صنعتیں حکومت کی طرف سے مناسب سرپرستی ملنے پر ترقی کرسکتی ہیں جس سے روزگارکے نئے مواقع پید اہوں گے۔
وزیر خزانہ نے وفد کو یقین دلایا کہ حکومت ملک کی معیشت میں تجارتی شعبہ کی خدمات کو قدر کی نگاہ سے دیکھتی ہے۔انہوں نے بتایا کہ آئندہ آنے والے بجٹ میں لارج سکیل مینو فیکچرنگ اور سمال اینڈ میڈیم انٹرپرائزز جیسے شعبوں کو ترقی دینے کے لئے اقدامات اُٹھائے جا رہے ہیں۔انہوں نے کہا کہ وفاقی بجٹ کی تیاری کے وقت تاجر برادری کی طرف سے پیش کی گئی تجاویز کو ہمیشہ انتہائی سنجیدگی سے لیا جاتا ہے اور ایک بزنس فرینڈلی بجٹ پیش کرنے کے لئے اقدامات اٹھاۓ جا رہے ہیں۔
