As a sequel to E-Kutcheries held on monthly basis to comply with the directions of the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Chairman Federal Board of Revenue (FBR)/Secretary Revenue Division, Muhammad Javed Ghani held an E-Kutchery at FBR HQ on Friday to listen to the complaints and issues of taxpayers. The complainants called at 111772772 and interacted directly with the Chairman FBR.
Chairman FBR listened to the complaints of the taxpayers and issued on spot directions for resolution of complaints. Chairman FBR appreciated the suggestion put forth by the taxpayers and assured them that their comments and suggestions would be looked into. Chairman assured that FBR was taking all possible steps to facilitate the taxpayers. He also requested the taxpayers to visit their nearest RTO and Collectorate for redressal of any issue confronted by them.
Chairman FBR took stock of the situation arising out of regular holding of E-Kutcheries in compliance with the directions of the Prime Minister. Chairman FBR issued directions in a letter to all Chief Commissioners, Director Generals IR, Chief Collectors and Director Generals Customs afterwards. The letter specifically states that a communication gap exists between tax collectors and taxpayers’ which lead to the dissatisfaction of taxpayers’. Even the trivial refund applications and queries remain un-responded, Chairman FBR stated in the letter.
It has further been told to the field offices that concerned officers do not appropriately interact and respond to target audience hence the genuine issues remain un-addressed. Chairman FBR has strictly instructed all the field offices to resolve all outstanding issues of taxpayers’. In case of showing any laxity in resolving the issues, the concerned supervisory officers in the field offices will be held accountable which may ensue consequences.
ایف بی آر ہیڈکوارٹر میں ای کچہری کا انعقاد
وزیر اعظم پاکستان کی ہدایات پر ایف بی آر ہیڈکوارٹر میں ہر ماہ تسلسل سے کی جانے والی ای کچہری کا انعقاد کیا گیا۔ اس سلسلے میں چیئرمین ایف بی آر محمد جاوید غنی نے ای کچہری کے ذریعے ٹیکس گزاروں کی آن لائن شکایات سنی ۔ٹیکس گزاروں نے 111772772 پر کال کرکے براہ راست چیئرمین ایف بی آر کو مسائل سے آگاہ کیا۔
چیئرمین ایف بی آر نے ٹیکس گزاروں کو یقین دہانی کرائی کہ ان کے مسائل کے فوری حل کے لئے ایف بی آر ہر ممکن اقدامات اٹھا رہا ہے۔ چیئرمین ایف بی آر نے شکایات کے تدارک کے لئے فوری احکامات جاری کئے اور ٹیکس گزاروں کی طرف سے پیش کی جانے والی تجاویز کا خیر مقدم کیا اور یقین دہانی کرائی کہ ان کی تجاویز پر سنجیدگی سے غور کیا جائے گا۔ چئیرمین ایف بی آر نے مزید کہا کہ کسی بھی قسم کی شکایت کی صورت میں اپنے قریبی ریجنل ٹیکس دفتر اور کسٹمز کولیکٹوریٹ سے رجوع کریں۔
وزیر اعظم کی ہدایت پر تسلسل سے منعقد کی جانے والی ای کچہری سے حاصل کردہ معلومات اور صورت حال کے بعد چئیرمین ایف بی آر نے تمام چیف کمشنرز، ڈائیریکٹر جنرلز آئی آر، چیف کولیکٹرز اور ڈائیریکٹر جنرلز کسٹمز کو مراسلہ جاری کیا ہے جس میں ہدایات جاری کی گئی ہیں کہ ٹیکس گزار اور ٹیکس کولیکٹر کے درمیان رابطہ کا فقدان موجود ہے جس کے باعث ٹیکس گزار غیر مطمئن رہتے ہیں۔ مراسلہ میں کہا گیا ہے کہ معمولی نوعیت کے ریفنڈ کیسز حل طلب ہیں اور ٹیکس گزاروں کے سوالات کا تسلی بخش جواب نہیں دیا جا رہا۔ مزید کہا ہے کہ متعلقہ افسران براہ راست ٹیکس گزاروں سے رابطہ کرنے میں گریز کرتے ہیں جس کی وجہ سے ٹیکس گزاروں کے اصل مسائل کا مداوا نہیں ہو پاتا۔ چئیرمین ایف بی آر نے سختی سے تمام فیلڈ دفاتر کو ہدایات جاری کی ہیں کہ ٹیکس گزاروں کے تمام مسائل کو حل کیا جائے بصورت دیگر فیلڈ دفتر کے انچارج افسر سے پوچھ گچھ ہو گی جن کو سخت نتائج کا سامنا کرنا پڑے گا۔
