Chairman FBR Visits Large Taxpayers Office Lahore
Chairman Federal Board of Revenue Mr. Asim Ahmad visited the Large Taxpayers Office (LTO) Lahore where he held a detailed meeting with the Chief Commissioner and Commissioners of LTO Lahore.
During the meeting, revenue collection for the period of July to February 2023 was discussed at length vis a vis targets assigned. A detailed discussion was held on challenges being faced in various sectors alongwith strategy to be adopted to achieve budgetary target for remaining months of the financial year. The Chairman directed the LTO team to ensure that the new budgetary measures are enforced in letter and spirit. The sugar sector was specifically discussed at length to ensure collection of due taxes in the coming months.
Chairman FBR reiterated his resolve to achieve the budgetary target assigned to FBR and the team of LTO Lahore assured that they will make all-out efforts to attain the desired results despite import compression and challenging market conditions. The Chairman directed the field formations to recover all pending arrears and expeditiously pursue cases pending in courts.
The Chairman also discussed problems being faced by the field formations and assured to resolve them as soon as possible.

چیئرمین فیڈرل بورڈ آف ریونیو عاصم احمد نے لارج ٹیکس پیئرز آفس (LTO) لاہور کا دورہ کیا جہاں انہوں نے چیف کمشنر اور کمشنرز سے تفصیلی ملاقات کی۔
اجلاس میں جولائی تا فروری 2023 کی مدت کے دوران ریونیو کی وصولی اور تفویض کردہ اہداف کے حوالے سے تفصیلی تبادلہ خیال کیا گیا۔ مختلف شعبوں میں درپیش چیلنجز کے ساتھ ساتھ موجودہ مالی سال کے بقیہ مہینوں کے بجٹ کے اہداف کو حاصل کرنے کے لیے اپنائی جانے والی حکمت عملی پر بھی بات چیت کی گئی۔ چیئر مین ایف بی آر نے ایل ٹی او ٹیم کو ہدایت کی کہ وہ بجٹ کے نئے اقدامات کو مکمل طور پر نافذ کریں۔ اجلاس میں شوگر سیکٹر کے بارے میں خصوصی طور پر بات چیت کی گئی تاکہ آنے والے مہینوں میں اس سیکٹر سے منسلک واجب الادا ٹیکسوں کی وصولی کو یقینی بنایا جا سکے۔
چیئرمین ایف بی آر نے موجودہ مالی سال کے ریونیو اہداف کو حاصل کرنے کے عزم کا اعادہ کیا۔ ایل ٹی او لاہور کی ٹیم نے یقین دلایا کہ وہ امپورٹ کمپریشن اور معاشی چیلنجز کے باوجود مطلوبہ نتائج حاصل کرنے کے لیے ہر ممکن کوشش کریں گے۔ چیئرمین ایف بی آر نے فیلڈ فارمیشنز کو تمام زیر التواء بقایا جات کی وصولی اور عدالتوں میں زیر التوا مقدمات کی تیزی سے پیروی کرنے کی ہدایت بھی کی۔
چیئرمین ایف بی آر نے فیلڈ فارمیشنز کو درپیش مسائل پر بھی تبادلہ خیال کیا اور انہیں جلد از جلد حل کرنے کی یقین دہانی کرائی۔
