Chairman Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has issued directions to all the FBR Field offices to expedite operation against tax evasion and play active role to stop the menace of fake and flying invoices. FBR Headquarters has further explained that all the people who are found involved in fake and flying invoices and causing tax evasion will be dealt strictly in accordance with law. The organization will also take prompt action against its own employee if the employee is found involved in crime. While implementing the directions, the Directorate of Intelligence & Investigation (Inland Revenue), Faisalabad has arrested Syed Muhammad Azhar, owner of M/s Fazal Awais Textiles, Faisalabad involved in tax fraud by way of issuing fake and flying invoices to a non-existing unit M/s Arrow International. The Directorate has unearthed a big sales tax evasion scam of issuing and adjusting fake and flying invoices involving tax fraud of millions of rupees. Accordingly, tax fraud proceedings against the sales tax fraudsters have been initiated and the First Information Report (FIR) has been lodged against M/s Arrow International, its buyers, suppliers and other beneficiaries under section 37A of the Sales Tax Act, 1990.
The Investigation revealed that M/s Arrow International is a non-existent and dummy unit, which had been registered by the fraudsters for the purpose of issuance/adjusting fake/flying invoices and to facilitate buyers and suppliers to avoid payment of due sales tax, including further tax.
Moreover, 65 registered persons also declared fictitious purchases to avoid the payment of due tax. These 65 registered persons have evaded further tax amounting to Rs 134.453 million.
Given the facts, tax fraud case under section 37A read with section 2(37) of the Sales Tax Act 1990 has been registered against the firm M/s Arrow International, its buyers and suppliers and other beneficiaries involved in defrauding national exchequer from tax revenue of Rs134.453 million.
FBR has encouraged the people to come forward and reveal the identity of the people who are involved in causing tax evasion by using fake and flying invoices. FBR will grant reward to such whistle blowers under its Reward Rules. The names of the whistle blowers will be kept secret.

چیئرمین فیڈرل بورڈ آف ریوینیو کی جعلی اور فلائینگ انوائیسزکے خلاف کاروائی کے احکمات کے بعد ایف بی آر کے تمام فیلڈ دفاتر ٹیکس چوری کے سد باب کے لئے متحرک ہو گئے ہیں۔ایف بی آر ہیڈ کوارٹر نے جعلی اور فلائینگ انوائیسز میں ملوث افراد چاہے وہ ایف بی آر ادارے کے اپنے ملازم ہی کیوں نہ ہوں کے خلاف سخت ایکشن لینے کا فیصلہ کر لیا ہے ۔ ان ہدایات پر عمل کرتے ہوئے ڈائریکٹوریٹ آف انٹیلیجنس ایند انوسٹی گیشن آئی آر فیصل آباد نے سید محمد اظہر ما لک فضل اویس ٹیکسٹائل فیصل آباد کو جعلی اور فرضی کمپنی ایرو انٹرنیشنل کے نام پر فلائینگ انوائیسز بنانے پر گرفتار کر لیا ہے۔ ڈائریکٹوریٹ نے سیلز ٹیکس چوری کو بے نقاب کیا ہے سیلز ٹیکس چوری کی وجہ سے کروڑوں کا سیلز ٹیکس چوری کیا گیا۔ ایرو انٹرنیشنل نامی فرضی کمپنی کے خلاف ایف آئی آر درج کی جا چکی ہے اور سیلز ٹیکس ایکٹ 1990 کی شق 37 اے کے تحت کمپنی کے خریدار ، سپلائرز اور دیگر مستفید ہونے والے افراد کے خلاف بھی کاروائی عمل میں لائی جا رہی ہے۔
تحقیقات کے بعد پتہ چلا ہے کہ ایرو انٹرنیشنل فرضی کمپنی کو قائم کر کے جعلی اور فلائینگ انوائیسز بنانے کا کام کیا جار ہا تھا جس کی وجہ سے سیلز ٹیکس اور دیگر ٹیکسز کی چوری کی جارہی تھی۔ ایرو انٹرنیشنل کمپنی کے 65 رجسٹرڈ خریدار تھے جنہوں نے جعلی خرید ظاہر کر کے حکومتی خزانے کو 134.453 ملین کا نقصان پہنچایا ہے۔تمام ملوث افراد کے خلاف سیلز ایکٹ کی متعلقہ شقوں کے تحت ٹیکس فراڈ کا کیس تیار کر لیا گیا ہے۔
ایف بی آر نے عوام الناس سے اپیل کی ہے کہ وہ ٹیکس چوری کے سد باب کے لئے ایف بی آر کا ساتھ دیں اور جعلی اور فلائینگ انوائیسز کے ذریعے ٹیکس چوری کرنے والوں کی شناخت میں ایف بی آر کے ساتھ تعاون کریں۔ ایف بی آر اطلاع دینے والوں کو رولز کے تحت نقد انعام دے گی اور ان کا نام صیغہ راز میں رکھا جائے گا۔ اس سلسلے میں معلومات مندرجہ ذیل نمبرز پر رازداری کے ساتھ دی جا سکتی ہیں۔ ڈائریکٹر ہیڈ کوارٹر آئی اینڈ آئی ان لینڈ ریونیو آفس نمبر 0519260167 اور فیکس نمبر 0519260156۔
