Federal Board of Revenue has stated that it was brought to notice of FBR today that collector of Custom (Adjudication) Islamabad has issued a show cause Notice to an ambassador for violation of Custom Act, 1969. FBR has clarified that the issuance of show cause notice is not in conformity with the privileges available to diplomats under Vienna Convention. Therefore, upon FBR’s directions, the Islamabad Customs has modified the seizure report and the show cause notice is also being modified accordingly. The inconvenience caused to the worthy ambassador is regretted.
ایف بی آر کے نوٹس میں آیا ہے کہ کسٹمز کو لیکٹر ( ایڈجیوڈیکیشن )اسلام آباد نے کسٹمزایکٹ 1969 کی خلاف ورزی پر ایک غیر ملکی سفیر کو شو کاز نوٹس جاری کیا ہے جوکہ ویانا کنونشن کے تحت کسی بھی غیر ملکی سفارتکارکو دی گئی مراعات کے منافی ہے ۔ لہذا ایف بی آر کسٹمزدفتر شوکاز نوٹس اور ضبطگی رپورٹ میں ترمیم کر رہا ہے ۔ اس سلسلے میں غیر ملکی سفیر کو پہنچنے والی کسی بھی قسم کی تکلیف پر ایف بی آر معذرت خواہ ہے۔
