Building further on its policy of ensuring ease of doing business, Federal Government has provided relief to the business community by extending the warehousing period and waiving off the penal surcharge on overstayed goods, lying un-cleared in the Customs Bonded warehouses. Federal Board of Revenue in its Notification No. SRO 1399(I)/2021 issued on 27th October, 2021 has stated that penal surcharge on goods not cleared within the prescribed period has been fully waived off. This measure has been taken to facilitate the trade and industry and commercial importers who have not been able to clear their goods on time by payment of duty and taxes. FBR has further clarified that the facility is for ex-bond clearances made within thirty days from the date of commencement of this notification up to 25th November, 2021.

تجارتی آسانی کو مزید فروغ دینے اور کاروباری کمیونٹی کو ریلیف دینے کے لئےوفاقی حکومت نے وئیر ہاؤسنگ عرصہ کو بڑھا دیا ہے اور کسٹمز وئیر ہاؤسز میں متعین کردہ عرصہ سے زائد موجود نان کلئیرڈ اشیاء پر عائد سرچارج پر چھوٹ دے دی ہے۔ اس سلسلے میں فیڈرل بورڈ آف ریونیو نے جاری کردہ نوٹیفیکیشن نمبر ایس آر او 1399(I)/2021 بتاریخ 27 اکتوبر2021کے تحت متعین کردہ عرصہ سے زائد نان کلئیرڈ اشیاء پر عائد سرچارج معاف کر دیا ہے۔ یہ اقدام تجارت اور صنعت کو فروغ دینے کے لئے کیا گیا ہے اور اس اقدام کا مقصد ان کمرشل درآمدکنندگان کو سہولت دینا ہے جو ڈیوٹیز اور ٹیکسز کی ادائیگی کے بعد اپنی اشیاء کو وقت پر کلئیر نہیں کرواسکے۔ ایف بی آر نے وضاحت کی ہے کہ یہ سہولت نوٹیفیکیشن کے اجراء کے بعد 30 ایام کے لئے 25 نومبر 2021 تک ہے
