FBR Launches IRIS 2.0, Redefining User Experience & Efficiency
Mr. Asim Ahmad, Chairman Federal Board of Revenue (FBR)/ Secretary Revenue Division launched IRIS 2.0, an upgraded version of the tax filing system developed by Pakistan Revenue Automation Limited (PRAL) at the FBR Headquarters, Islamabad on July 27, 2023. On this occasion, Member IR Operations, Member IT, CEO PRAL and Chiefs / Secretaries of IR & IT wings were also present. IRIS 2.0 marks a significant milestone in tax administration with improved user experience, enhanced efficiency, and cost saving for the FBR. IRIS 1.0 and its successor IRIS 1.1, while pioneering, faced several challenges which impacted its performance and user satisfaction in addition to its costly hardware requirements during peak loads. Addressing these concerns head-on, IRIS 2.0 has undergone a major transformation, with focus on robust backend enhancements and an intuitive frontend design, ensuring a seamless experience for both users and the FBR. This was made possible with the leadership and directions of Chairman FBR, Member IR Operations and Member IT by transforming technologies, updating PRAL culture and optimizing PRAL teams.
By upgrading to IRIS 2.0, the FBR will enhance its tax filing operations for achieving greater efficiency, and significantly reducing hardware expenditures. Ultimately, the improved user experience will elevate overall user satisfaction, making IRIS 2.0 a valuable asset for the FBR. IRIS 2.0 is indicative of the FBR and PRAL’s resolve to utilize cutting-edge technology for improved service delivery and greater efficiency. It reflects the vision of the Chairman FBR Mr. Asim Ahmad to see FBR as modern, technology-driven and efficient organization, in the best service of the nation.

چیئرمین فیڈرل بورڈ آف ریونیو / سکریٹری ریونیو ڈویژن عاصم احمد نے جمعرات کے روز ایف بی آر ہیڈکوارٹرز اسلام آباد میں ٹیکس فائلنگ سسٹم کا اپ گریڈڈ ورژن آئی آر آئی ایس-ٹو لانچ کردیا۔پاکستان ریونیو آٹومیشن لمیٹڈ کے تیارکردہ نئے سسٹم کے اجراء کے موقع پر ممبر ان لینڈ ریونیو (آپریشنز)،ممبر آئی ٹی، چیف ایگزیکٹو آفیسر پرال اور آئی آر اور آئی ٹی ونگز کے چیفس اور سکریٹریز بھی موجود تھے- آئی آر آئی ایس-ٹو ایف بی آر کے لئے لاگت میں کمی، بہتر کارکردگی، صارفین کے لئے بہتر تجربہ اور ٹیکس ایڈمنسٹریشن میں ایک اہم سنگ میل کی حیثیت رکھتا ہے۔ اس کے اولین ورژن آئی آر آئی ایس-ون اور اس کے بعد متعارف کرائے جانے والے آئی آر آئی ایس-ون پوائنٹ ون کو صارفین کے اطمینان اور کارکردگی کے حوالے سے کئی چیلنجز کا سامنا رہا۔ علاوہ ازیں پیک لوڈ کے وقت مہنگے ہارڈویئر کی ضروریات اس پر مستزاد تھیں۔ ان تمام مشکلات کو دور کرتے ہوئے صارفین اور ایف بی آر دونوں کے لئے کسی رکاوٹ کے بغیر فعال رہنے کے لئے آئی آر آئی ایس-ٹو متعارف کرایا گیا ہے۔جس میں مضبوط بیک اینڈ اضافے اور فرنٹیڈ ڈیزائن پر توجہ مرکوز کی گئی ہے۔ یہ چیئرمین ایف بی آر، ممبرآئی آر (آپریشنز) اور ممبر آئی ٹی کی قیادت اور ہدایات کی روشنی میں پرال ٹیموں کو بہتر بنانے،پرال کے کلچر کو اپ ڈیٹ کرنے اور ٹیکنالوجیز کوتبدیل کرنے سے ممکن ہوا آئی آر آئی ایس-ٹو کی اپ گریڈیشن کی وجہ سے ایف بی آر ہارڈویئر پر اپنے اخراجات کو نمایاں طور پر کم کرنے کے ساتھ ساتھ ٹیکس فائلنگ آپریشنز کو بڑھا سکے گا۔ صارفین کے بہتر اطمینان کی بدولت آئی آر آئی ایس-ٹو ایف بی آر کا نہ صرف ایک قیمتی اثاثہ ثابت ہوگا بلکہ یہ بہتر سروس ڈیلیوری اور فعالیت کے حوالے سے ایف بی آر اور پرال کے لئے جدید ٹیکنالوجی سے استفادہ کرنے کے عزم کا آئینہ دار ہے۔ یہ چیئرمین ایف بی آر عاصم احمد کے اس وژن کا بھی عکاس ہے کہ وہ ایف بی آر کو جدید ٹیکنالوجی سے آراستہ اور موثر ادارے کے طور پر قوم کی خدمت کرتا دیکھنا چاہتے ہیں۔
