Under the Letter of Understanding (LoU) signed between FBR and Ministry of Defenses’ Directorate of Federal Government Educational Institution Cantt. Garrison, Federal Board of Revenue has started to hold second phase of Educational Awareness Sessions in different educational institutes. Facilitation and Taxpayers Education Wing (FATE) of FBR held the first Educational Awareness Session in Federal Government Sir Syed College, Rawalpindi. In line with the vision of Prime Minister to promote the tax culture and under the directions of Chairman FBR Muhammad Javed Ghani, series of Awareness Educational Sessions will be carried out by FATE Wing in collaboration with Directorate of Federal Government Educational Institution Cantt. Garrison working under Ministry of Defense in different educational institutes.
Tehmina Aamer, Chief (FATE), FBR and Principal F.G. Sir Syed College Professor Ahmad Raza were the Chief Guests on the occasion. Sonia Anwar, Secretary FATE delivered a very informative and easy to understand presentation to the students on the structure of tax system and its significance in nation building. The students participated in a tax related quiz and won prizes.
Tehmina Aamer, Chief FATE said in her address that the purpose of holding these sessions was to promote the tax culture. She further said that students would learn about the significance of paying taxes in their initial years through these sessions which would help them make responsible taxpayers in their later years. “The students would help spread the message of paying taxes in their home, street and locality,” she added.
Principal F.G. Sir Syed College thanked the FBR Team to make this session successful. She hoped that such sessions would increase the knowledge of students about taxes and its significance in the economic progress. In the end, Chief FATE presented a shield to the Principal College
ایف جی سر سید کالج میں ٹیکس سے متعلق تربیتی سیشن کا انعقاد
فیڈرل بورڈ آف ریوینیو نےڈائیریکٹوریٹ آف فیڈرل گورنمنٹ ایجوکیشنل انسٹیٹیو شن کینٹ گیریثرن، وزارت دفاع اور ایف بی آر کے درمیا ن ہونے والے معاہدے کے تحت دوسرے مرحلے میں مختلف تعلیمی اداروں میں طلبہ و طالبات کو ٹیکس سے متعلق آگاہی دینے کے لئے تربیتی سیشنز کا آغاز کر دیا ہے۔ اس سلسے میں ایف بی آر کے فیٹ ونگ نے تربیتی سیشنز کا آغاز فیڈرل گورنمنٹ سر سید کالج راولپنڈی سے کیا ہے۔ وزیر اعظم کے ٹیکس کلچر کو فروغ دینے کے ویژن اور چئیرمین ایف بی آر محمد جاوید غنی کی ہدایات کے مطابق مختلف تعلیمی اداروں میں ایف بی آرکے فیٹ ونگ اور ڈائیریکٹوریٹ آف فیڈرل گورنمنٹ ایجوکیشنل انسٹیٹیو شن کینٹ گیریثرن، وزارت دفاع کے اشتراک سے تربیتی سیشنزکا انعقاد کیا جا رہا ہے۔
تقریب کے مہمان خصوصی فیٹ ونگ ایف بی آر کی چیف تہمینہ عامر اور پرنسپل فیڈرل گورنمنٹ سر سید کالج پروفیسر احمد رضا تھے۔ تربیتی سیشن میں سیکرٹری فیٹ سونیا انو ر نے نہایت ہی آسان انداز میں ٹیکس کی اہمیت اور سٹرکچر کے بارے میں طلبہ کو آگاہ کیا۔ اس موقع پر طلبہ کے درمیان ٹیکس سے متعلق کوئز مقابلے کا اہتمام کیا گیا اور جیتنے والے طلبہ میں انعامات تقسیم کئے گئے۔ تقریب سے خطاب کر تے ہوئے چیف فیٹ تہمینہ عامر نے کہا کہ تربیتی سیشنز کا مقصد ٹیکس کلچر کو پروان چڑھانا ہے۔ مزید کہا کہ ملک کے مستقبل کو ان کی عمر کے ابتدائی حصے میں ہی ٹیکس سے متعلق آگاہی دینے سے نہ صرف وہ کل ایک ذمہ دار ٹیکس گزار ہونے کا ثبوت دیں گے بلکہ ٹیکس کی اہمیت کے پیغام کو اپنے گھروں تک لے کر جائیں گے۔پرنسپل کالج پروفیسر احمد رضا نے ایف بی آر ٹیم کا شکریہ ادا کیا اور کہا کہ اس طرح کے تربیتی سیشنز کے انعقاد سے طلبہ و طالبات کے ٹیکس کی اہمیت و افادیت سے متعلق شعور میں اضافہ کیا جا سکے گا۔ تقریف کے اختتام پر چیف فیٹ ایف بی آر نے پرنسپل کالج کو یا دگاری شیلٖڈ پیش کی۔
