Mrs. Riffat Shaheen Qazi, Member Facilitation and Taxpayer Education, FBR visited the Directorate General of Training and Research, Inland Revenue (DOT) Lahore on 29th-30th May along with her team member Ms. Nida Anum Second Secretary FATE.
The agenda of the meeting was to discuss the important components for training in media handling, communication strategy, taxpayer facilitation and e-filing. During the said meeting modalities and means to improve the taxpayer’s facilitation and FBR’s image were discussed. It was also agreed that through a liaison between DOT and FATE Wing FBR, a series of workshops, extensions lectures and research projects will be conducted at the DOT, Lahore for the capacity building of the officers of FBR. It was decided that from the next financial year, a segment on Taxpayers’ Facilitation and effective Media handling will be added to the Syllabus of the Specialized Training Program (STP) for the probationers of Inland Revenue Service (IRS).
