Tax Awareness Educational Session on Filing of Income Tax Return held in International Islamic University Islamabad
The Tax Education Section of FBR conducted a training session at the International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) on 26th August, 2024, which was attended by over one hundred faculty members.
Led by Mr. Muhammad Alam Zaib Khan (Secretary Tax Education), Ms. Angel David (Second Secretary), Mr. Zia Farooqi (Coordinator) Mr. Muhammad Salman (Inspector) and Mr. Tamoor from Public Relations Wing.
Upon their arrival at the university, the team was warmly welcomed by Ms Nausheen Syed (Additional Director / Incharge of professional training). The training took place in the auditorium of Fatima Al-Zahra Block at Female Campus, where, Prof, Dr. Muhammad Sarwar (Vice President Administration and Finance) of the university was also in attendance.
In his opening remarks, Inland Revenue Ms. Angel David (Second Secretary) emphasized the critical importance of tax return filing, starting that it is essential for the country’s development and prosperity. During the session the FBR team provided a detailed walk though of the tax return filing process.
The faculty members activity participated, posing several questions, all of which were addressed comprehensively by the team. This training is part of the ongoing initiatives by the Tax Education Section of FBR, which regularly conducts training sessions and seminars on tax submission and return filing in various educational institutions across the country.
