Public Relations Wing of Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) organized an awareness session on "Tax Culture in Pakistan" at Bahria University Islamabad on 30th September, 2024. This seminar, held in collaboration with the Business School, was attended by both students and faculty members of the university. The FBR team was comprised of Mr. Muhammad Alam Zaib Khan (Secretary Tax Education), Mr. Muhammad Zahid Awan (Second Secretary), Mr. Salman Khaliq (Inspector), and Mr. Ahsaan Elahi (Coordinator) from Public Relations Wing.

Mr. Alam Zaib Khan, Secretary FBR, gave a comprehensive briefing on the current tax system in Pakistan. He emphasized the various initiatives FBR is undertaking to enhance the efficiency and transparency of the revenue collection system. During his presentation, Mr. Alam Zaib Khan encouraged students to file their income tax returns and to be the Tax Ambassadors by spreading awareness about tax obligations within their communities. The session concluded with a detailed question and answer segment, allowing attendees to engage directly with the speaker and gain further insights. Key attendees of the seminar included Dr. Khalid Mumtaz (Principal Business School), Mr. Tanvir Illahi, (Coordinator) Bahria University and other officials from FBR and the University. This initiative is part of FBR's ongoing efforts to foster a better understanding of the tax system among the youth and to promote a culture of tax compliance in Pakistan.
